      SUSTAINABILITY

      The Bachelor in Sustainability Management is designed to provide innovative education and research opportunities through projects that prepare students to be active and effective citizens in finding solutions to unsustainable practices and to value eco-systemic services. These solutions will focus on the need for citizen participation, systemic thinking and the promotion and adoption of sustainable production and consumption practices related to the quality of water, energy, materials and technology use, food systems, climate mitigation and adaptation and Environmental policy, among others.

      BIOMOLECULAR LABORATORY

      The molecular biology lab (BIOMOL) at Universidad VERITAS is focused on the application of genetic approaches to address applied research questions in population ecology, evolution, and conservation of vertebrates and invertebrates in the Pacific and Caribbean side of Costa Rica. Our research emphasizes on aquatic animal, particularly species of conservation and management concern such as sharks, rays, sea turtles and invertebrates.

      BIOCENTER

      The VERITAS Green Lab Biocenter is a rural research center managed by the Center for International Programs and Sustainability Studies located in El Jobo, Guanacaste. It’s rustic setting and closeness to the ocean (4 miles) are perfect for conservation, agro-ecology, entomology, marine biology and other community-based research projects. Used for academic studies, High School programs and camps, international faculty-led programs, Spanish classes, yoga, art, spiritual retreats and other activities.
